Greene County High School students partnered with Raccoon Valley Radio last week to donate food items to our local Action Resource Center food pantry for the Caring Christmas program.
Students and staff donated just shy of 400 items that radio sportscaster Doug Rieder delivered to the food pantry.
Rieder and the radio station also did live remote broadcasts with Career and Technical Education (CTE) students at the regional career academy on the same day as the food drive. Students talked about what they are learning and the employability skills they are developing. They also talked about how the career academy is helping them decide their future careers.
Greene County CTE teacher Teresa Green thanked Community State Bank in Paton, Hamilton Redi-Mix, NEW Coop, and the Greene County Schools for sponsoring the live remote broadcasts.
