Registration deadline is Dec. 15
Babysitting Basics, a course for Greene County youth in grades 5-8, will be held Wednesday, Dec. 23, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Greene County Extension office in Jefferson. Cost is $40 for all registrations received by Tuesday, Dec.15. Class size is limited. If there is room, additional registrations will be accepted at a cost of $50.
Participants will learn babysitting responsibilities and what employers expect, ideas to entertain children, how to handle emergencies, first aid and safety pointers, and how to care for children of different ages.
Face coverings will be required.
Registration forms were sent home with Greene County and Paton-Churdan 5-8 graders. Forms can also be picked up at the Greene County Extension office at 104 W. Washington St in Jefferson. Persons who want more information can call 515-386-2138
