Greene County magistrate court, ending Nov. 27

In Greene County magistrate court James Kenneth Harris of Woodward was sentenced Nov. 19 to 30 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. The jail sentence was suspended and he was placed on self-probation fo the Greene County sheriff for one year. He was fined $65 with a $9.75 surcharge. Court costs were $95. A related charge in district court of possession of methamphetamine was dismissed. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Christopher David Spaulding of Jefferson, assault; and Justin Edward Johnston of Lake City, operate without interlock device.
