With only two weeks left of the fall book sale, the Friends of the Jefferson Public Library are offering two great special sales for the remaining weeks. All children’s books will be half price Oct. 19-24. The last week of the sale, Oct. 26-31, every book, every DVD, every item will be priced at half off.
Sale hours are every Monday and Wednesday from 2 to 6 pm, Fridays from 1 to 5 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
The book sale is free to the public, although Friends of the Library memberships are still available. Membership levels begin at just $5 for individuals, and an entire family may purchase a membership and shop together for only $10.
Masks will be required, and the number of patrons will be limited to six at a time to assure the safety and comfort of patrons.
Bargain Day will be the last day of the sale, Oct. 31. All sales will be half price or fill a paper grocery bag for $4. The Friends will supply the bags.
The Friends of the Library fall book sale is the Friends’ primary fundraiser this year, along with the membership drive. Purchases and memberships enable the Friends to fund events and purchase needed equipment for the Library. This year the Friends purchased eight new patron computers, the colorful new banners, supported the summer reading programs, and much more.
