The Greene County Lamb Producers traveled to Colfax Sept. 12 to grill lamb burgers at the Colfax Sale Barn. Two hundred fifty lamb burgers were grilled and handed out to patrons of the sale barn.
This was done in appreciation for the support the lamb producers have received from this business. For the past five years, the Colfax sale barn has purchased the lambs from the Greene County Fair.
“This was an excellent opportunity for us to promote our product in a different part of the state,” said Eldo Walker, Lamb Producer president. He went on to say that many people served had never eaten lamb, so they were encouraged to try it.
The lamb producers enjoy marketing their product and were happy to serve the Colfax community. They have been unable to promote their product due to COVID-19 cancellations. ~courtesy of The Scranton Journal
