The Scranton United Charity drive is underway. Donor cards will be mailed this week.
This is the annual fund drive for local charities in Scranton and part of Greene County.
The organizers ask area residents to be extra generous because the charities have been unable to hold other fundraisers due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Charities listed on the donor card are:
- Greene County Food Pantry (ARC)
- Community Opportunities
- Scranton Little League
- Scranton Comm. Betterment
- Scranton Community Center
- Scranton fire department
- Scranton public library
- Scranton park and rec
- Local emergency / disaster funds
- Other (charity of donor’s choice)
All contributions should be dropped off at the Scranton office of Peoples Bank or mailed to P O Box 127, Scranton, IA 51462.
