J.D. Scholten, Democratic candidate for the Fourth Congressional district, will make several stops in Greene County this week as part of his Every Town Tour, which includes all 374 towns in the 4th District.
He and his RV, Sioux City Sue, will be in Cooper at the way station along the Raccoon River Valley Trail Sunday at 4 pm. Face masks and social distancing are expected.
Tuesday stops include the Churdan city park at 2 pm, the Paton city park at 3 pm, and in front of the Rippey library at 5 pm.
He’ll hold a parking lot rally in the old middle school parking lot in Jefferson at 7 pm. Beginnig at 6:30 pm, attendees will be greeted by volunteers wearing face masks and be directed to a parking space. Attended are required to stay in their vehicles during the program and they’ll listen to Scholten speak over a FM radio frequency. Attendees can ask questions by texting them to a campaign phone number; Scholten will answer the questions during the rally.
