Quarantine grows among GrCo Ele staff, students

A second staff member at the Greene County Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19, as of Saturday evening.

School staff has worked with the Greene County Public Health Department and completed contact tracing. Parents/guardians that had children considered to be exposed (close contact of less than 6 feet for 15 or more continuous minutes) have been/will be contacted and students will need to be quarantined.

“Please understand that we must protect the privacy of all Greene County School students and staff and we cannot share further details. We will remain in contact with the individuals to provide our support and ensure they are not contagious before returning to school/work.

“The safety of students, staff, and community continue to be a top priority. Please continue to take necessary precautions to protect yourself and those around you,” an informational release stated.
