Open house, first attendance day delayed for GrCo high school, career academy

Greene County High School students have an extra weekend on their very long summer vacation. Their first day of school has been delayed from Aug. 27 to Monday, August 31, due to delays in furniture installation in the new building.

The open house slated for Aug. 22 will also be one week later. The new date is Saturday, Aug. 29. The high school and career academy will be open from 12:30 to 3:30 pm for a limited walk through.

Due to the current conditions related to Covid-19 and preparation for classes starting, not all rooms and areas will be available to the public. In addition, all those taking part in the walk through will be required to wear a face mask and sanitize their hands upon entering the building.

Preliminary plans are being made for a more formal open house and dedication at a later date, as allowed by recommendations and guidelines related to Covid-19.
