Greene County Republicans opened a campaign headquarters Tuesday on the southeast corner of the downtown square in Jefferson.
According to county GOP central committee member Sean Sebourn, the headquarters will serve as a hub for building a grassroots effort leading up the the Nov. 3 general election. Organizers plan to have volunteer phone banks calling while the headquarters is open. Campaign signs and materials will be available, as well as camaraderie and conversation.
Face masks are optional.
The headquarters will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm; Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4 to 6 pm; and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 7 pm.
The cost of the building is being paid by individual members of the central committee. Funds raised by the central committee go to support local candidates, Sebourn said.
