Funeral services were held Aug. 7 at Gospel Open Bible Church in Jefferson for Phil Sloan, 67, lifelong resident of Jefferson. Pastor Chad Cummings offered words of comfort. Sheryl Sloan played prelude and postlude music. Honorary casket bearer was Thomas Sloan. Casket bearers were Aaron Sloan, Dave Sloan, Doug Sloan, Eric Bellinghausen, Jesse Jansen and Daniel Owens.
