Jefferson Telecom supports school supply drive

Jefferson Telecom has supported the annual school supply drive initiated by Greene County New Opportunities since 2014. Jamie Daubendiek, Jefferson Telecom General Manager (pictured below, left) presented Teresa Lansman, coordinator at Greene County New Opportunities, with a check for $500. The donation will be used to purchase school supplies for this year’s drive.

Last year, more than 200 children were assisted with their school supplies through donations by the community.  Suggested donations are #2 pencils, folders, wide spiral notebooks, loose leaf paper, 3 ring binders, composition notebooks, dry erase markers, pencil boxes, glue sticks, head phones, and ear buds. Monetary donations are also accepted and will be used to purchase additional supplies that are lacking. All donations are asked to be given by Aug. 14 to Greene County New Opportunities.
