Greene County magistrate court, week ending June 11

In Greene County magistrate court Jackson Lee Norton of Carroll was sentenced June 9 to five days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of interference with official acts. He was fined $250 with an $87.50 surcharge. Court costs were $60. A hearing will be held July 15 to determine if Norton is able to pay sheriff’s fees, restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs.

A judgment was entered against Karen Jo Keown McCubbin of Gowrie on a charge of theft- fifth degree. She was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge. She must also pay $150 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees, $16.94 victim restitution, $61.68 sheriff’s feed and $60 court costs. A second count of theft- fifth degree was dismissed.

Angel Rivera of Perry was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge after she pleaded guilty to a public health violation. Court costs were $60.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Daniel Joseph Tasler of Jefferson, violation of no contact order; Kathy Louise Arey of Grand Junction, violation of a no contact order; Dale Sanford Arey of Grand Junction, violation of a no contact order; and Adam Eugene Coy of Boone, domestic abuse assault.
