In Greene County district court Timothy Joseph Farber, 28, of Sparta, WI, was sentenced June 8 to five years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of escape from custody. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services for three years. He was fined $750 with a $262.50 surcharge. He must also pay $1,064.19 restitution to the Greene County sheriff’s office for damage to the ceiling in the booking room at the Law Enforcement Center in his attempted escape. Farber was sentenced to two years in prison on a charge of operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation for three years. The prison terms will be consecutive should he serve eventually serve them. On that charge he was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Christopher David Spaulding, 53, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana- third or subsequent offense, possession of methamphetamine- third or subsequent offense, and unlawful possession of prescription drug (three counts); and Pablo Luis Correa Flores, 30, of Carroll, driving while license barred. Trial dates were set for Sept. 29 in both cases.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant Jason William Sheldahl, 49, of Jefferson has been charged with domestic abuse assault- second offense. The warrant was issued May 14 and returned June 1.
Cases were initiated as follows: Dalton Weber, 21, of Scranton, domestic abuse assault- second offense, child endangerment, and false imprisonment; Mason Scott Myers, 23, of Webster City, operating while intoxicated- second offense; Nathaniel Clark Aldrich, 32, of Jefferson, driving while license barred; Peter Edward Miover, 49, of Boone, OWI- second offense; Sharletta Carol Wiggins, 56, of Perry, driving while license barred; and Tina Gail Ganzeveld, 40, of Fort Dodge, OWI- first offense.
