Casinos and bowling alleys can open for business, spectators can attend sporting events, and youth and adult athletic teams can begin practicing and competing next Monday, June 1.
Gov Kim Reynolds on Tuesday extended the state’s public health emergency disaster declaration through June 17, but named several businesses that will be allowed to open and activities that can resume.
Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines, including limiting capacity and mandating a 6-foot social distance, are required. In most cases, the allowed capacity is 50 percent of full capacity.
Reynolds and the IDPH continue to suggest Iowans wear face masks when they can’t maintain a 6-foot distance.
The moratorium on housing evictions and foreclosures will end Wednesday at 11:59 pm.
