In Greene County magistrate court Dale Sanford Arey of Boone was sentenced to 10 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of violation of a no contact order. Magistrate Jessica Morton found he is able to pay sheriff’s fees for the time he serves. Arey was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge. He must also pay $37.80 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $60 court costs. A charge of interference with official acts was dismissed.
Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Michelle Ann Cook of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia; Justin Joe Downs of Churdan, domestic abuse assault; Jason William Sheldahl of Jefferson, violation of a no contact order; and Trent Patrick Murphy of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault.
