The first charge has been made in Greene County for violating Gov Reynolds’ executive orders dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Riley Jacob Rittgers, 23, of Paton has been charged violation of the executive order prohibiting gatherings of more than 10 persons and permitting persons under the age of 18 to consume alcohol. The charges are in connection with a party Rittgers hosted April 3 in Dawson Township. An arrest warrant was issued for Rittgers April 9 and returned April 16.
Other cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Melissa Sue Larson of Jefferson, theft- fifth degree; Melinda Louise Weltha of Grand Junction, domestic abuse assault- first offense; James Pena of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault- first offense; Jody Lyn Schad of Jefferson, disorderly conduct- fighting or violent behavior; Kathy Louise Arey of Boone, violation of no contact order; and Dale Sanford Arey of Boone, violation of no contact order.
