The Jefferson Community High School class of ‘69 is contributing $2000 to the Greene County food pantry (Greene County Christian Action Resource Center) to honor the beliefs of the Class of 69 – to invest in those who need support and to help build a better future. Tom and Sue Wind presented the check to Shirley Haupert this past week.
“The timing of the class of ‘69’s contribution is critical in context to the COVID 19 pandemic and the radical measures everyday people are having to implement just to get by in these uncertain times. Even though as of March 29, no COVID 19 cases have been announced in Greene County, the virus is demonstrating that no place in the world is exempt. We hope our contribution is an inspiration to others who are able to reach out and help their neighbors, perhaps being the catalyst to making this impactful for more Greene County residents in need,” according to a class representative.
“We want to thank each member of the class of ‘69 for their contribution to what we know is the greatest class to graduate from Jefferson. Any other class that wants to dispute this will need to step up and show us,” the classmate said.
