Owners of small businesses in Iowa got good news Saturday. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) issued a disaster declaration for the state of Iowa effective Jan. 31 and continuing.
The declaration allows small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to apply for low-interest support loans. The loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that can’t be paid because of the impact of COVID-19. Loan repayment can be stretched out as long as 30 years to keep payments affordable.
