Greene County Schools will provide a Grab-and-Go sack lunch program starting Monday, March 23. The program will be similar to summer lunch and is open to children living in Greene County ages 0-18 and Greene County School students. There is no charge for the meal.
The program will run Monday – Friday for three weeks during the current school closure.
Serving sites will include the Greene County Middle School, Grand Junction Community Center, Rippey Community Center, and Scranton Community Center. Staff will hand out sack lunches “drive-up” style from 11:30 to 1 pm at each location.
Although it is not a requirement for participation, school staff asks that anyone who thinks they will be taking advantage of this program complete a participation survey which will give a better idea of the number of meals to prepare.
