The annual Soups and Hoops event will be held at the Scranton Community Center. Hosted by the Scranton Alumni Association and Scranton Betterment Committee, the festivities are planned for Saturday, March 21.
In conjunction with the Scranton Alumni Reunion that is scheduled on Saturday, June 20, the organizers are inviting all Scranton alumni who played the 6-on-6 game for the Trojanettes. Former players will be introduced prior to tip-off of the main event.
No pre-registration is needed. Family members may also participate if they have a person who is unable to attend or has passed away.
The soup supper will be served from 5 to 7 pm. Tip-off for the game is at 6:30 pm with the Iowa Hot Shots vs Play4Him Academy and some Greene County High School players.
The Town and Country Band will perform music for everyone’s enjoyment. They play the old favorites that you like to tap your toes to.
A free will donation will be welcome with the proceeds going to community projects and improvements at the Scranton Community Center. ~courtesy of The Scranton Journal
