Doug Rieder (right), longtime sports broadcaster with Raccoon Valley Radio, was honored at a recent Greene County basketball game with the Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association Media Award.
Rieder has done play-by-play of Jefferson-based high school sports for 40 years.
The award was presented by IHSAD past-president and Greene County athletic director Todd Gordon (left). Gordon nominated him for the award.
