In Greene County district court Michelle Lynn Anderson, 45, of Mitchellville was sentenced to two 2-year prison terms after she changed her plea to guilty to two counts of identity theft less than $1,000. The prison terms are concurrent to each other and to prison terms in Marion and Polk County cases. Anderson was fined $625 with a $227.50 surcharge on each count; the fines and surcharges were suspended but she must pay a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge on each count. She must also pay $665.32 total victim restitution. The court found her unable to pay restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs. Ryan James Brown, 47, of Jefferson was sentenced to 30 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of theft- fifth degree, amended from theft- fourth degree. The jail term was suspended; if he eventually is required to serve the term it will be consecutive to a jail term in another Greene County case. He was placed on informal probation for one year. Brown was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge. He must also pay a $125 LEI surcharge and $258.98 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Joshua Leo LeClair, 35, of Churdan, domestic abuse assault- third or subsequent offense; Daniel Joseph Tasler, 28, of Jefferson, child endangerment causing serious injury; and Trevor William Lawton, 26, of Jefferson, fraudulent practices- third degree. A trial date of March 3 was set for Tasler, and of April 7 for LeClair and Lawton.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Amanda Ruth Breckinridge, 31, of Mingo has been charged with burglary- third degree (motor vehicle) and unauthorized use of credit less than $1,500. A warrant was issued for her arrest Aug. 20 and returned Jan. 27.
