Two persons – Sean Sebourn and Patrick Zmolek – are on the ballot for the March 3 special election for a Jefferson city council person.
The winner will serve the two years remaining of the term Matt Gordon left when he was elected mayor last November.
The Jefferson council was urged by several residents at the Jan. 14 meeting to appoint Sebourn to fill the vacancy, as he had run for the council in November. He lost the election to incumbents Dave Sloan and Matt Wetrich.
The council instead called for a special election.
