Katherine (Kate) Neese was sworn in as Greene County Medical Center’s newest trustee at the board of trustees meeting Jan. 23. Neese is currently filling an unexpired term, left vacant when Judy Sankot retired from the board in November 2019.
Neese lives in Grand Junction with her husband and helps manage their family-owned business, Neese Inc. She previously worked at the medical center for 22 years and is a licensed nurse. “I’m proud of this hospital,” said Neese. “I appreciate the professionalism here and the care they provide.”
“Katherine is going to be a valued addition to the board of trustees. She brings with her a strong nursing and business background. As a former employee, she will be a great advocate and provide a unique perspective on topics,” said Jim Schleisman, Greene County Medical Center board of trustees chairperson.
Neese grew up in Jefferson and raised her four children in Greene County. She is a former member of the East Greene Schools board, and is now on the boards of Grow Greene County and Grand Junction Light.
