All area seniors are invited to the Greene County Senior Fun Day Tuesday, Oct. 8. The open house event is planned from 10 am to 2 pm at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson. The event will open with a veterans’ pinning ceremony hosted by Kindred Hospice at 10 am. All area military veterans are invited to participate.

Kiwanis Club helps with Russell Park shelter facelift
The shelter and restrooms at Jefferson’s Russell Park have a fresh coat of paint thanks to a grant from Diamond Vogel Paint and financial assistance from the Jefferson Kiwanis Club. The Jefferson park and recreation department received a grant from Diamond Vogel Paint for five gallons of paint. The Kiwanis Club decided to help financially with having the paint applied.
