Babysitting Basics set for Oct. 26

Babysitting Basics, a course for Greene County youngsters in grades 5-8, will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 am to 3:30 pm at the Greene County Extension office in Jefferson. Cost is $40 for all registrations received by Friday, Oct. 18. Class size is limited. If there is room, additional registrations will be accepted at a cost of $50.

Greene County district court, week ending Oct. 4

In Greene County district court Logan Eric Warland, 29, of Fort Dodge was sentenced to two five-year prison terms after he changed his plea to guilty to burglary- third degree and one count of criminal mischief- second degree. The prison terms are consecutive, but concurrent to any other sentences. Warland was fined $750 with a $262.50 surcharge on each count.…
