Beginning Jan. 6, the Greene County Family Medicine Clinic will offer behavioral health services with board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Heather Wilson.
As a PMHNP-BC, Wilson is trained to provide a wide range of behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Her focus is on health promotion and disease prevention.
Utilizing her clinical knowledge and experience, Wilson will treat patients dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorder, substance abuse, autism spectrum, ADHD, and other mental health disorders. “I look forward to building relationships with patients and providing a new service to Greene County,” said Wilson.
Wilson previously worked in the medical center’s Women’s Health Clinic before leaving to get her master’s degree. During her 22 years of nursing experience, she has worked in six different hospitals and a variety of departments: OB, specialty clinics, inpatient mental health, ER, and as a house supervisor.
She received her RN degree from Mercy College of Health Science, her bachelor’s degree from Chamberlain University, and her master’s degree from Maryville University. She resides in Greene County with her significant other and a blended family of five children.
