In Greene County magistrate court a disposition was entered Dec. 9 against Dakota Bradley Barrett of Grand Junction. On a charge of assault he was sentenced to 30 days in jail, consecutive to a jail sentence in another misdemeanor case. The jail sentence was suspended and Barrett was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge. On a charge of theft- fifth degree, he was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. Barrett must pay $1 victim restitution. Court costs were $60.
Cases were initiated in magistrate court during the week ending Dec. 12 as follows: Jason William Sheldahl of Jefferson, violation of a no contact order; Tanisha Rice of Jefferson, violation of a no contact order; Jessica Jo Peterson of Ogden, theft- fifth degree (two separate cases, one count each; and Ted Lawrence Semke of Jefferson, public intoxication.
