Towns around Greene County have made plans for youngsters to enjoy Halloween as follows:
Grand Junction: Saturday, Oct. 26, Trunk-or-Treat on Main St from 5:30 – 7 pm. Grand Junction fire and rescue will host its Halloween Safe House at the fire station during Trunk-or-Treat.
Scranton: Wednesday, Oct. 30: Halloween “Trunk-or-Treat” on Main Street on the Library block from 5 to 7 p.m. in lieu of the traditional door-to-door Beggar’s Night.
The city will close Main Street (from Peoples Bank to Scranton Telephone) at 4:30 p.m. on October 30 to prepare for this event. Businesses and individuals who would like to decorate the trunk of their car, bed of their truck, or around their parking space for handing out candy need to be parked on Main Street before 4:30.

Other towns have scheduled Beggar’s Night as follows:
• Jefferson: Thursday, Oct. 31: Beggar’s Night in residential areas 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
• Rippey: Thursday, Oct. 31: Beggar’s Night in residential areas 5 – 7 pm.
• Churdan: Thursday, Oct. 31: Trunk or Treat hosted by National Honor Society at the school parking lot 5 – 6 p.m. Beggar’s Night in residential areas 5 – 7 pm. ~The Scranton Journal contributed to this post
