The Ram cross country teams competed at South Central Calhoun’s Titan meet Tuesday at Lake City. The boys finished in fifth place in a field of 14 teams, and the girls finished in seventh place in a field of 12.
“I am again really pleased with the effort. It was nice to get a chance to compete after having last week’s meet at Perry cancelled. Our runners performed well and get stronger each meet,” coach Jeff Lamoureux said.
Luis Velazco paced the boys in 17th place with a time of 19:47.52. Other finishes that went into the team score of 144 were Logan Woodruff, 21st, 19:1.72; Connor Brus, 33rd, 20:27.56;
Ethan Frederick, 36th, 20:27.56; and Dakota Mobley, 37th, 20:27.71. Rounding out the team were Jose Velazco, 45, 20:48.07; and Ethan Larsen, 61, 21:32.77.
Ogden won the meet with 38 points. Other team scores were Kuemper Catholic 73, Pocahontas area 104, Sioux Central 128, Greene County 144, Manson Northwest Webster 184, OABCIG 184, Alta Aurelia 215, Woodward Academy 227, Southeast Valley 236, West Bend Mallard 242, South Central Calhoun 300 Ridge View 355, and East Sac County 371.
Ashlee Harmeyer led the girls, finishing in 21st place with a time of 24:32.36. Other places and times were Conner Allender, 23rd, 24:39.10; Kassie Lamoureux, 37th, 25:44.76; Makala Kafer, 46th, 26:45.28; and Tieryn Tucker, 50th, 27;00.70. Rounding out the team was Autumn Stevens in 54th place with a time of 27:18.54.
Team scores were Manson Northwest Webster 67, Pocahontas Area 85, South Central Calhoun 100, Ridge View 101, Alta Aurelia 124, Sioux Central 143, Greene County 177, Ogden 184, Southeast Valley 218, West Bend Mallard 250, Kuemper Catholic 260, and OABCIG 263.
