Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 28, at Abundant Life Ministries for Marilyn Ann Copeland, 85, of Jefferson. The Rev Mary Jane Oakland, assisting priest at St John’s by the Campus Episcopal Church in Ames,  offered words of comfort. Music included “Love Divine” recorded by Julie Tvedt, and Gary Haupert as soloist with Sheryl Sloan as accompanist.

High schools hold homecomings next week

Greene County and Paton-Churdan high schools will celebrate homecoming next week with a theme, “Fight Together; Win Together”. The Greene County senior class selected its homecoming court. The court includes Sophia Ausberger, Izzy Bravard, Nicole Rasmussen, Kassie Lamoureux and Sophia Havens, along with Brent Riley, Will Hansen, Tyler Miller, Cole Betts and Colby Kafer.
