The deadline for filing nomination papers for the November city and school election is Thursday, Sept. 19, at 5 pm. Both city and school candidates must file the necessary paperwork for their names to be printed on the ballots in the Nov. 5 election.
School board candidates must file with the school board secretaries at Greene County (administrative building at 204 W. Madison St, Jefferson) or the Paton-Churdan school.
City candidates are required to file their paperwork with the Greene County auditor’s office. All cities will elect mayors and council members.
