All area residents are invited to a BIG Dream Gathering Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the Greene Room at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson.
People who attend the BIG Dream Gathering will learn from Mitch Matthews, producer of the top-rated podcast “Dream Think Do”, how to clarify their goals and build a plan to achieve them.
Matthews travels all over the country facilitating BIG Dream Gatherings. The gatherings provide a safe and encouraging environment for people to think about their dreams and ideas, write them down, and then get some help making those dreams a reality.
Matthews was among those who visited Jefferson last December at the invitation of Pillar Technology. He offered to return to Jefferson for a BIG Dream Gathering and to waive his speaker’s fee, making it a free event for the public.
Jefferson Matters: Main Street is organizing the gathering. Sponsors covering other event expenses are Greene County Development Corporation, Greene County Chamber & Tourism, Jefferson Telecom, Peoples Bank and Rotary Club of Jefferson.
According to a Jefferson Matters press release, “thousands of people have participated in these inspiring BIG Dream Gatherings and countless dreams have been launched. Mitch will inspire the community to dream even bigger, equip us to help each other in authentic ways and achieve at new levels. It will be an event we could be talking about for years to come.”
Registration for the Sept. 17 event will begin at 6:15 pm. Matthews will speak at 6:30. Following his talk, attendees will have a chance to post dreams of their own and encourage other dreamers.
“It’s been incredible to see what happens when people have a safe environment to think about their big dreams and then get some encouragement to go after them,” said Matthews in a company press release.
The evening will end at 8 pm.
