Contractors are continuing to make good progress on construction of the new high school and career academy.
Roof decking has been installed on the career academy and concrete has been poured for the interior floors. The walls for the academic wing have been set and steel beams are now being set for the second floor. The walls of the gymnasium have also been set.
Block walls are being constructed south of the gymnasium. These walls are for the locker rooms. Footings have also been poured for the auditorium. Pre-cast panels for the auditorium walls will be set in the next few weeks.
Site work has also continued with the south parking lot being graded and covered with white rock. The bus drop off lane and turn around east of the building have also been graded and covered with white rock.
