Devastating disasters like a flood or a tornado are a vivid reminder of life’s uncertainty. Have you ever wondered what you would do if you had to leave your home suddenly? What would you grab if you only had minutes to escape? Make your own grab-and-go file case so that family members can quickly “grab it and go.” Learn more. Attend one of the two workshops offered by ISU Human Sciences Extension and Outreach on Thursday, Aug. 29, either from 12 to 1 pm at the Greene County Extension and Outreach office located at 104 W. Washington St in Jefferson or from 2-3 pm at the Churdan library.
Extension and Outreach family finance specialist Carol Ehlers will teach how to make a grab-and-go financial records case and how to improve your potential to rebound after a disaster.
The workshop fee of $10 covers supplies and resources for attendees. Registration for the first workshop in Jefferson is at the online web link at http://bit.ly/grabgo13199 Registration for the workshop in Churdan is at link at http://bit.ly/grabgo13202 or call 515-386-2138.
