Area residents are invited to learn what’s brewing in town at the Friday morning Java & Juice gatherings. Hosts for Java & Juice in August will showcase both businesses and volunteer efforts.
The August schedule is:
• Aug. 2 – Jefferson Community Golf Course, 501 Greenewood Road
• Aug. 9 – Mid-Iowa Insurance, 110 E. State St
• Aug. 16 – Amazing Race for Charity event, at the Welcome Center, 201 E. Lincoln Way
• Aug. 23 – Action Resource Center food pantry, new location at 1006 N. Vine St
• Aug. 30 – Hy-Vee Grocery/Pharmacy, 106 W. Washington St
Java & Juice begins at 9:30 am with coffee and a light refreshment. At 9:45 the host is welcome to tell the story of the business or event. There is also time for announcements of upcoming local events. The gathering finishes at 10.
