Also free backpack give-away and garage sale Saturday Central Christian Church is hosting a vacation Bible school Wednesday, July 31 through Friday, Aug.2, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm each evening. All youngsters ages pre-K and older are invited. A meal is included, and participants will enjoy music, games, crafts and service projects during this free program.

Ele. counselor speaker at Community Conversation
The monthly Community Conversations series continues this month with Greene County elementary school counselor Teresa Skalla discussing “Kids of Trauma” and what our community can do to help all children. Community Conversations is held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 801 Lincoln Way, in Jefferson. Fellowship with refreshments will begin at 5 pm, with Skalla’s presentation at 5:30. All are welcome.

Phyliss Crowder said, “We don’t think it’s the right site.” Residents cited fears of traffic congestion in an old, established, quiet neighborhood.
