Greene County baseball’s regular season is complete following games on Monday against Bondurant-Farrar and Tuesday night against Carlisle.
Monday night the Rams struggled to get any offense going, with just four hits — Bryce Stalder with two singles and David Richter and Austin Delp with one each — and no runs scored.
Bondurant-Farrar scored three runs off two Greene County errors, and the Rams lost 3-0 despite strong pitching from Austin Delp.
Tuesday night against Carlisle the Rams got their offense going again with 11 hits and seven runs scored. The Rams got two hits each from Joe Anderson, Nick Breon and starting pitcher Delp. Brent Riley, Clayton Smith, Stadler, Joe Carey and Carter Morton had one hit apiece, but the Rams’ seventh-inning comeback came up short. The Rams lost 10-7.
Ending the regular season at 9-22, the Rams start postseason play Friday night against Gilbert.
