Area families are invited to Freedom Quest Thursday, June 27, from 5 to 7:30 pm at Russell Park in Jefferson. Freedom for Youth Ministries will host the free family event with crafts, games, prizes, food and music. The evening also includes the gospel message of Jesus through fun activities.
Freedom Quest is a traveling ministry event scheduled to be in Jefferson, Greenfield, Indianola, Boone, Grinnell and Webster City this summer.
“We are seeking to serve the youth in these communities,” said Freedom for Youth’s statewide coordinator Leanna Mullen. “Freedom Quest is really the means to start building relationships and making connections in communities and showing our hearts for youth to these communities.”
Freedom for Youth Ministries launches youth centers throughout the state of Iowa, and the ministry is gearing up to start a center in Jefferson.
“Above all else, the kids can expect to have a fun time.” According to Mullen, Freedom Quest is “a place for all walks of life to come and just be loved on and learn about Jesus.”
