The Greene County Early Learning Center is among 19 nonprofit organizations to receive a community grant from the Alliant Energy Foundation.
Grants range in size from $3,000 to $500 and support Iowa Project AWARE, food pantries, technology in schools, day camps, summer reading programs, regional transportation and more.
The Early Learning Center received $600 to support a summer program in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
“We’re looking for creative solutions that support our customers and communities,” said Julie Bauer, executive director of the Alliant Energy Foundation in a prepared press release. “Our nonprofit partners are constantly working to make life better. Community Grants are one way we stand behind them as they solve problems for families, education and the environment.”
