The Greene County softball team’s rough start to the season continued on Saturday, as the Rams lost both games they played in the Bondurant-Farrar tournament.
In the first game against the host Bluejays, the Rams struggled to keep Bondurant-Farrar bats out of play, with starter Emma Hoyle going three innings and Jenna Beyers pitching the rest in a relief role. The Rams fell 14-5.
The second game saw Pleasantville jump out to a 9-0 lead on the Rams, with Greene County struggling to get its bats going. The Rams had just one extra-base hit in the game, and Pleasantville run-ruled the Rams in five innings, 13-3. The Rams are now 0-6 on the season.
