The Greene County baseball team ran into the strong performance of Webster City pitcher Tyler Olson, as the Rams fell 3-0 to the Lynx on Wednesday night in a pitchers’ duel.
The Rams were unable to get a hit on Olson, who struck out eight Greene County batters. Only one Ram batter reached base in seven innings of play.
The Lynx scored one earned run off starting Greene County pitcher Austin Delp, but a wild pitch scored two Lynx baserunners in the seventh inning to seal a win and knock the Rams back to 2-2 on the season.
