The public is invited to a farewell open house for the Jefferson IRIS exchange students Monday, June 3, from 6:30 to 8;30 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson.
Ran Fawarsy of Israel and Demir Bulut of Turkey arrived last fall and have been attending Greene County High School. They will leave for home June 10.
IRIS (Iowa Resource for International Service) is a nonprofit organization that matches exchange students with host families in Iowa. Students in the program complete community service and give presentations on their home countries as part of their responsibilities. Curt and Jenny Wills are host parents of Ran Fawarsy. Oscar and Marla Orfield are host parents of Demir Bulut.
Please join their host families in celebrating their exchange year before they travel home.
