Ram junior Carter Morton made his mark at the co-ed State Track and Field Meet, placing in the top eight in two different events. On Saturday, Morton finished sixth in the 110m high hurdles with a time of 15.8 seconds, just .73 seconds behind champion Avery Martensen of Monticello.
Morton was third in the state in the high jump in Friday competition.
The girls sprint medley relay team finished in 23rd place Saturday with a time of 2:06.9. On the team were juniors Paige Heaning and Maddy Sigler and sophomores Makala Kafer and Brianna Osterson. The championship time was 1:50 set by Kingsley-Pierson/Woodbury Central.
