The National Weather Service warns that numerous rounds of thunderstorms are possible through early next week. Severe storms and locally heavy rainfall are possible, with large hail and damaging winds being the primary threat.
Storms are predicted to develop mainly after 7 pm and along and north of Highway 30. Hail as large as golf balls may fall in some places. The strongest storms are expected late Friday afternoon and evening. However, rain will redevelop over all of central Iowa Monday and Tuesday
