Greene County sophomore Brianna Osterson is the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference champion in the long jump, claiming first place at the conference meet May 2 in Nevada with a leap of 16’ 9-1/2”.
Rams placed second in the 4 X 100m relay and the 4 X 200m relay. In the 4 X 100, Maddy Sigler, Melanie Doran, Makala Kafer and Osterson ran a season best of 52.48 seconds. The same group, but with Doran as lead-off, followed by Kafer and Sigler with Osterson still in the fourth position, ran the 4 X 200 in 1:51.90. The Rams also placed second in the sprint medley with Paige Heaning leading off and Sigler, Kafer and Osterson following. Their time was 1:56.71.
Brooklyn Olson placed second in the discus with a throw of 118’ 7”.
