The Greene County girls soccer team celebrated a 2-1 victory in Logan April 20, over non-conference opponent Logan-Magnolia. Julia Saul had both goals for the Rams and both were in the first half.
Coach Marilyn Tasler said the only L-M goal came in the second half from a deflected pass off a Ram player. The victory improves the girls to 2-3.
The Rams were defeated by Class 1A, sixth-ranked Nevada on April 23.
April 25 in Grand Junction the Rams faced another ranked opponent in number five Gilbert. The Tigers topped the Rams 10-0. Greene County falls to 2-5 on the season. They have been shut out four times and are averaging less than one goal per match. ~courtesy of The Scranton Journal
