The Doctor is in!! The PLANT DOCTOR, aka, Jean Walker, of the Thomas Jefferson Gardens board will provide information about “Awakening Your Garden” on Tuesday, April 30, at 1 pm. Weather permitting the class will be held outside in the Thomas Jefferson Gardens. In case of rain or SNOW, the presentation will be in the Welcome Center.
Walker will discuss proper ways to ready garden beds such as cleaning, cultivation, and fertilizing. Also on the agenda will be the best time to plant vegetable seeds in Zone 5, or here in Greene County.
There is no charge for the Plant Doctor presentations and they are available for the general public, but donations will be gratefully accepted to keep the Thomas Jefferson Gardens growing.
Lemonade and light refreshments will be served at the conclusion by TJ Garden board members.
