The Ram boys golf teams traveled to the Ballard Golf and Country Club in Huxley April 9 to play the Ballard Bombers golf teams.
Ballard won the varsity match 180 to 212. Meet medalist was Ballard’s Kade Miller with a 44. Jadon Block led the Rams with a 45. He tied for meet runner-up but lot on the tie breaker.
Teammates adding to the team score were Sawyer Schiltz with a 53 and Jacob Rohner and Cody Gilbertson, both with 57s. Caden Telleen shot a 63.
The Ballard JVs won their match, too, tallying 211 strokes to the Rams’ 261. Sores were Brian Hardaway 62, Kole Teeples 63, Ben Johnston 67 and Braden Cerveny 69.
“It was a good learning experience for our young team tonight,” coach Heath Telleen said. “We are learning how to bounce back from adversity. If we can eliminate some of our big numbers through better course management, we can start to see our scores drop.”
